A collaborative puzzle by Damo and me!.
This puzzle was created for Scojo's weekly setting prompt, which challenged us to collaborate with someone new and incorporate a unique constraint chosen by each setter.
We had a great time working together, and on behalf of both of us, we hope you enjoy solving it
Rules:
Normal sudoku rules: Place the digits 1 to 9 in each Row, Column, and 3X3 box.
Yin Yang: Shade some cells so that all shaded cells are orthogonally connected and all unshaded cells are orthogonally connected. Each 2x2 area of the grid contains shaded and unshaded cells.
Doublers (Modifier): The value of shaded cells are equal to twice the digit it contains. Unshaded cells retain their original value.
Region sum line: Values along the blue line sum to the same total in each 3x3 box the line passes through. Different lines may have different totals.
Solve online: SudokuPad
Solution code: Values in row 5 from left to right.

Excellent puzzle! I found it quite difficult, easily a 4* for me, but it's a very nice challenge

this is a MUST SOLVE for any yin-yang fan.
there is a surprising (for me, at least) twist:
the BOUNDARY condition almost vanishes.
objectively, this probably qualifies as difficulty 4. HOWEVER, any beginner can be trained to expert level in yin-yang in 5-15 min, so this puzzle does remain "approachable" (in some sense) for all levels
