Masyudoku
(Published on 17. March 2025, 20:35 by Oripy)
This puzzle was made last year for the OUCH! Series presented on CTC server.
Rules:
- Normal 9x9 Sudoku rules apply. Place the digits 1-9 exactly once in every row, column and 3x3 box.
- Kropki Dots: Digits separated by a white dot are consecutive. Digits separated by a black dot have a 1:2 ratio, meaning one is exactly double the other. Not all dots are necessarily given.
- Masyu: Draw a non-intersecting loop through the centres of some cells that passes through every big circle. Colours of those circles must be determined by the solver. The loop must turn on black circles and travel straight through the cells on either side. The loop must go straight through white circles, and turn in at least one of the cells on either side. Not all valid circles are given.
- Additionally, white circles contain even digits, black circles contain odd digits.
Example:
Puzzle can be solved on:
The puzzle:
Solution code: The digits on the 6th line (9 digits) followed by indication of the loop on the same line in order ('I' for straight loop segments, and 'L' for turns in the loop, skipping cells without loop)
