King's Sandwich

- Normal Sudoku rules apply. Place the digits 1 through 9 in each empty cell. Digits must not repeat within the same row, column, or box.
- Sandwich: Clues outside the grid show the sum of digits sandwiched between the 1 and the 9 in that row or column.
- Anti-King: Cells separated by a king's move (in chess) cannot contain the same digit.
Solution code: Row 5 (9 digits, no spaces)

some incorrect comments about the difficulty here, so ... spoilers.
because this is a sandwich AND anti-king puzzle, the difficulty is always at least 2.
DO NOT FORGET the anti-king part. but YOU WILL.
there are STANDARD sandwich procedures. LEARN THEM. then APPLY them.
here, you should be able to quickly locate ALL the crusts, AND disambiguate them.
carry on on with the sandwich procedures. you will breeze along, and then you hit a brick wall. TOLD YOU. in this situation, check the rules again. YOU FORGOT SOMETHING.
and now you can zip along again. and maybe cue some rihanna, if you know what i mean.

I would rate the puzzle 2+ or 3 stars. The king's move constraint helped where I couldn't get any further with the sandwich clues. I really liked it, even though I'm not a sandwich expert.

Maybe it’s because I’m unfamiliar with Sandwich puzzles but I struggled a lot more with this than I do with most 4* puzzles.
