Copycat Mates
(Published on 28. October 2024, 02:33 by Scojo)
Rules:
- Normal sudoku rules apply: Place the digits 1-9 once each in every row, column, and 3x3 box.
- Copycat Cells: Place 9 Copycat Cells into the grid so that there is exactly one Copycat Cell in each row, column, and 3x3 box. Each Copycat Cell must contain a different digit. The value of a Copycat Cell is the digit in the cell rotationally opposite itself in the grid (180° rotation about the center of the grid). For example, if r2c3 is a Copycat Cell containing the digit 5, and r8c7 contains the digit 9, the value of r2c3 is the digit in r8c7, which is 9.
- Dutch Flat Mates: Every cell in the grid with a value of 5 must have a cell with a value of 1 directly above it or a cell with a value of 9 directly below it. It may have both, but it doesn't need both.
- Dutch Whispers: Adjacent cells along an orange line must have values with a difference of at least 4.
- XV: Cells separated by an X have values that sum to 10, and cells separated by a V have values that sum to 5. Not all Xs or Vs are necessarily given.
