Megatron (prime factors)

(Published on 16. September 2024, 05:00 by SkepticalMario)

Megatron by Skeptical Mario

Rules:

Normal sudoku rules - Enter a digit from 1-9 in each cell without repeating in a row, column, or box.

Killer cages - In a cage, digits cannot repeat and sum to a total which must be deduced.

Cage factor circles - A circled digit in a cage indicates the number of prime factors in the cage's total. Repeated factors are counted multiple times and 1 is never counted. For example, a circled digit in a cage summing to 45 must be a 3 because 45 = 3×3×5.

The inequality symbol points to the lesser of the digits it adjoins.

Some very nice deductions hidden in there. More 4/5 for me, but very enjoyable and a bit different. An interesting mix of Sudoku, arithmetic and geometry.

There were a few sublime moments in that, though I didn't help myself from forgetting box scanning being distracted by all the juicier stuff going on.

Thanks to your cheat sheet it wasn't that hard, 3-4* I think. Nevertheless very fun and enjoyable.
