Renban and One

(Published on 2. August 2024, 01:07 by egubachu)

I set this puzzle after my collaboration puzzle Zip Zag with sujoyku, which was a pure zipper sudoku. I was also interested in setting a pure renban puzzle. I went through several iterations of this idea, and eventually I decided to stick with this version, which I think has the most interesting logic, and the best solve, even though the interactions between the renban lines in this puzzle is intricate, and overall the puzzle is hard. I wish you happy solving!

Rules

  • Sudoku: Place the digits 1 to 9 once each in every row, column, and box.
  • Renban lines: The digits on a magenta renban line must form a set of consecutive, non-repeating digits.

Sublime! The break-in was incredibly tough to spot, but what a beauty it was. Very original logic all the way. Thank you
