Pursuit (XVXV Fillomino)

(Published on 1. April 2023, 04:31 by Xendari)

Pursuit
My recent solving obsession has been fillomino variants, and I wanted to try my hand at setting my own. The primary inspiration for this one comes from SudokuExplorer's exceptional Anti-Divisor Fillomino. Your feedback is appreciated, and I hope you enjoy Pursuit :)

Rules
Fillomino: Divide the grid into regions such that no two orthogonally adjacent regions have the same size. Place a number into every cell equal to the size of its region.
XVXV (neg. constraint): V, X, and XV clues indicate a border between two regions whose sizes combined sum to 5, 10, or 15 respectively. Additionally, no two regions whose sizes combined sum to a multiple of 5 (including 20, 25, et cetera) may share an edge unless that edge has a clue.

Solve online: Penpa (with solution check) | SudokuPad (no solution check)
This puzzle is better suited for solving on Penpa. If you prefer SudokuPad, I recommend using corner marks to notate tens digits and centre marks for units.

Solution code: Row 6

Just one thing about the rules:
For example: If the region in r2c2 comes to r1c1 then r1c1 and r2c1 would add up to ten. I believe the rules are supposed to say that's not possible. But I think the rules do allow this since these two regions are connected by the X between r2c1 and r2c2.
I'm probably the only one who got confused by this but it's probably worth pointing out

Thanks for solving and feedback Felis! I've updated 'may [not] share an edge without a clue' --> 'may [not] share an edge unless that edge has a clue.'

Very nice puzzle, liked how the negative constraint came into play. I know I got row six right, and sudokupad actually says I solved it, but I cannot get penpa to tell me I solved it. Am I supposed to use colors or "long" to put in cell values? [edit: i figured it out, first time using penpa]
