Toast Sudoku

It’s time for you to help me find my favorite sandwich toast.
Normally, Sandwich Sudokus want you to use the same kind of toast (usually 1 and 9) but vary the filling (the sum of the digits sandwiched between the slices of toast). This time, I’m telling you to use different kinds of toast (the digits shown in the clues), but keep the filling (sum) the same in all sandwiches. Just make sure it’s at least 10 (would be bland otherwise) and not a prime number (I don’t like pineapple).
The letters A through E stand for the digits 1 through 5 in some order, but I forgot which is which — sorry!
Make sure that multiple sandwiches in the same column remain separated. I mean, who shuffles sandwiches together like a deck of cards? Keep the toast and filling of one sandwich outside of any other sandwich in the same column. (However, you cannot assume the order of the sandwiches in a column, or the order of the two slices of toast of the same sandwich.)
The less-than sign in row 6 points at the smaller of the values in those two adjacent cells.
Lastly, normal Sudoku rules apply. Enjoy, good luck, and let the sandwich toast bonanza begin!
Solution code: Column 8, followed by the digits represented by ABCDE.

You forgot to explicitely state what the clues refer to. Am I right to assume they are the digits used as the toast?
