Hello (Hallo) (你好)

(Published on 5. February 2023, 05:00 by Will Power)

Normal Sudoku rules apply. Numbers on green lines are at least 5 apart from their neighbors on the line. Numbers can repeat on green lines. Numbers on purple lines are each a set of non-repeating, consecutive numbers, in any order. Numbers on arrows sum to the number in that arrow's circle. Numbers with a V between them sum to 5. Numbers with an X between them sum to 10. Numbers with a white dot between them are consecutive. Not all possible X, V and dots are shown.

Beautiful flow and requires quite some dedication to get to the end - very nicely done.

cute puzzle, nicely done.

it amazes me that some people feel the need to post useless negative comments on puzzles of which they apparently know the quality beforehand. are they really solving it just to leave their negativity?

anyway, nice to see it got some love after all, thanks for the puz:)

Constructive? And if it's not constructive to ask him to try to design some better puzzles and not rely too much on the software?

Of course, I still hope that you can bring better puzzles to everyone, but you should also try more variants, not just xv, kropki, renban and German whisper. These are the few variations you rely on the most, now is the time to try something new.

Oh, by the way, the first few Chinese characters are just a joke specific to the region. I'm really sorry if it makes you feel uncomfortable. In other words, you can present your puzzles to everyone in a better manner.

Ni hao, Will. Appreciate you always providing great entertainment for the community. Edit: just saw some of the negative comments. Please keep providing puzzles. I look forward to seeing them 4-5 times or more per week. Makes my days better and I would hate to see you stop due to negative feedback!

Yeah. I don't understand what's the problem with this puzzle

I find it a little perplexing that some people choose to solve puzzles they ostensibly know from the outset they will not enjoy, along with offering such unconstructive feedback..

on 5. February 2023, 12:49 by HumanBirdsong
I'm surprised by the negative comments! This puzzle flowed well for me, with some interesting deductions when moving from the right-hand side of the puzzle to the left. I enjoyed it a lot - thanks!

@AstralSky and @h5663454 My intent is to brighten the day of as many people as possible. I listen to the ratings people give, and respond to what they give high Beauty ratings (how fun the puzzle is). If a few people decide to give the lowest ratings possible, it destroys my ability to judge myself and improve for the rest of the people on this website. I believe my average number of solves per puzzle is about 80. My wish is that I have made those 80 lives better. If you judge a puzzle negatively just because I went through extra steps to make it beautiful, then I encourage you to skip my puzzles. I do not want to contribute to your unhappiness. Thank you. -Will Power

I am still working on this one, but I want to say that I really enjoy not only the solving of Will's puzzles, but also the creative way he has of weaving designs into the grid. Sudoku creation is not just a science, but an art too- and Will is one of my favourite artists.

@AstralSky and @h5663454 My puzzles have a very large variety to them. If you listed my puzzles and tried them before making general comments that are not true, you would see this. You would also notice that exactly the puzzle types you are asking me for are the ones that people on this site AVOID. Some of my best work has not been played enough to even get a rating. Examples are "Deconstructed Treasure Hunt", "Cake: Find the Liar Layer", "Speed Dial", "Balance of Power Challenge", "I Think I Pulled a Quad", "Galaxy Minesweeper Sudoku", "Clan-Destine Arrows".

Beautiful and relaxing. No need for trial and error if you spot the extra 1-9 region.

我也不好
Heavily relying on spamming extra constraints and computer assistance for a unique solution, as always.

@AstralSky Please go to Professor Lu Wenchang's sudoku website on Youtube. @wenchanglu4350 He should be presenting, in Chinese, his solution to this puzzle very soon. -Will Power

-------------
We are not pointing out that we felt this puzzle is illogical,
we are just pointing out that we have found out a huge pencentage, if not all of your puzzles of this kind, are showing no difference than computer generated. Mostly just draw the shapes then randomly add constraints like XV and Kropkis to make it unique with a flow just like solving a puzzle generated randomly by computer.
