Sudoku Variants Series (382) - Parity Lines Sudoku

(Published on 31. August 2022, 02:00 by Richard)

For this Sudoku Variants Project I have planned to publish a different Sudoku variant every week. I will see how long it takes before I am running out of ideas.

Parity Lines Sudoku
Apply classic sudoku rules.
There are lines in the grid with two circles as endpoints. The digit in one of the circles indicates the number of even digits on the line while the digit in the other circle indicates the number of odd digits on the line. The count of digits includes the digits in the circles.

Inspiration for this type comes from ExFalsoQuodlibet.

Solve online (without circles; only lines) in F-Puzzles or CtC-app (thx Steven R!)
Solve online (with circles and lines) in F-Puzzles or CtC-app (thx Nick Smirnov!)

Solution code: Row 7, followed by column 4.

That was a fun one. Took me way too long to finish. It seamed harder than some 3 star puzzles, but that's probably because im not used to the rule set. Amazing setting, thank you!

Thx Senior, Steven and Mody for the kind words.
I noticed the difficulty of SVS-puzzles has been on the high side lately, with fewer solves as a result for some of them.
So I return more to the easier puzzles, approachable for everyone; more in line with the goal of SVS: making sudokus with a wide variety of rulesets suitable for players with all different levels of solvings skills. :-)

I couldn't figure out how to draw the circles in a way that looked nice so I did it with lines. Very nice puzzle, so smooth!
