Orb 4: It's All Gone Wrogn!

(Published on 14. June 2022, 20:32 by DiMono)

Let's be honest, you all knew this was coming. Alternate title suggested by @Playmaker6174: brO

Normal 6x6 sudoku rules apply for 6x6 grids.

Normal 4x4 sudoku rules apply for 4x4 grids BUT the four digits (from 1-6) in each 4x4 grid may be different, and must be discovered by the solver.

Thermometers do not strictly increase from the bulb end.

Cells connected by a V do not sum to 5.

Cells connected by an X do not sum to 10.

Cells connected by a black dot are not in a 1:2 ratio.

Not all digits in a white circle are contained in the four surrounding cells.

Cells in a cage do not sum to the given total, and may repeat digits if allowed by other rules.

Clues outside the 6x6 and 4x4 grids apply to all immediately adjacent grids without extending further. These clues may not be valid X-Sums, Sandwiches, or Skyscraper clues, as defined below (normal rules):

X-Sums: the first X cells, where X is the first seen digit, sum to the clue total.

Sandwich: the cells between the highest and lowest digit in the indicated row or column sum to the clue total (if a 4x4 uses 1235 this means the cells between the 1 and 5).

Skyscrapers: If each cell is a building of height N where N is the digit in the cell, and taller buildings hide shorter buildings behind them, the number of seen buildings must not equal the clue.

Wow! I made it. It was fun and rather epic, especially working out how information travels all over the grid. But man, the solution path is super narrow - I almost gave up a couple times after a day of staring before I finally noticed the one thing in the giant grid that could get me going again. But it was totally worth it!

Wow! The way each clue interact is mesmerizing. Its just unbelievable how the middle clues keep working until the very end, crazy setting

Left half went smooth but it took some time to link the other half to it. Nice. Thanks.

Very fun and enjoyable (and not so difficult compared to the other wrogn puzzles!). The solve path was unbelievably smooth for a puzzle of this size. Thanks :)

Brilliant puzzle, was at least a solid 4 in difficulty, for me.

Sorry, for calling you a 'Crafty B*****d', twice, during the solve. Many thanks for the wonderful experience solving this!

@LittleBallOfPurr: Haha, I'm glad you liked it! Thanks for the solve and kind words. And even the not-so-kind ones.
