Overlooked a basic question and really, really struggled with this one. After several restarts, I tried different route and finally it clicked. Ask a right question=2 stars, ask bunch of wrong questions = only god knows how many stars :)

Classic Eric Rathbun puzzle, combining constraints in way that it leads to fairly unusual twist which then unravels the whole puzzle.

Beautiful puzzle, many thanks

Okay, I got it. But not with colours. Much faster than Simon's wholy purplepurplepurplegreen...
dreadful! I don't like this.
So thank you for this very fine puzzle. :-))

One of the best variant sudokus I've done (out of hundreds). The logic was really unusual throughout and kept making me think. Well done!

Response from Eric: Thank you pipedreambomb for your kind words. Glad you liked the puzzle and congratulations on solving it.
