Shy Killer
Normal Sudoku rules apply
Shy Killer rules: Digits may not repeat in a cage, digits must sum to the clue provided. However in this puzzle one of the digits 1 through 9 is shy, for the killer totals it presents itself as the box number not as the value of the digit itself. Boxes are counted starting top left, so first three rows are boxes, from left to right, 1, 2 and 3.
So if the shy digit was a one and it's in a killer cage in box 9 it counts as 9 for the killer clue

Finding which digit is shy is part of the solve.

A very nice construction! I like it even more than '565 New Sudoku variant?', because it is only one variant. Would like to see more one variant sudokus with a shy digit :-).

Apart from some grammatical issues I think the Shy Killer rules were presented clearly enough. I found the solve to be rather smooth and the puzzle to be quite approachable. Thank you for sharing!

Hope to get some feedback. For instance if the shy mechanic was explained clearly enough. What you liked or disliked. Do you agree with the diffculty setting. Comments that help me set better puzzles. Or anything else you want to share.
