The letters are to be replaced by the digits 0-9, same letters the same, different ones different.
Some cells are to be blackened. In the remaining cells, the digits 1-9 are to be entered in such a way that all digits except 5 and 9 occur at most once per row and column. The digits 5 and 9 must not occur more than twice per row and column.
Hints on the left and above indicate the sums of contiguous digits with no black cell between them. If hints are given in a row or column, they are complete and in the correct order.
Solution code: Column 1 and column 11, 'S' for black cells.
