Shattered Mirror

(Published on 20. March 2022, 15:08 by AParliamentofOwls)

Normal Sudoku rules apply. In Cages, digits must not repeat and must sum to the clue in the top left corner, if given. The grey squares are even digits.

The grid contains one single palindrome which passes through every box at least once and doesn't cross itself. The palindrome is marked in light blue.

However, the boxes that contain that palindrome are out of order. The numbers in the squares show the original order of the boxes (top row: 123, middle row: 456, bottom row: 789). The palindrome begins in the original box 1 and ends in the original box 9. The numbers outside the grid are the sum of the numbers in the squares in that column or row.

@Ryx Thanks :)! Really? That's really interesting. What was your break-in then, if I may ask? Was it still a 3/5 without the outside clues?

@Dweezy Thank you so much! It's my first sudoku ever so I'm glad it was enjoyable. I definitely want to play around more with that concept

Excellent puzzle, really novel concept (to me at least). Along the lines Dweezy mentioned, I could not keep the palindrome logic "in my head", so keeping an image of it reconstructed was crucial.

It was hard to keep track on the logic, but everything is used very well! This is mind-blowing, thanks!
