Star Sums Sudoku
Inspiration for this type comes from Mad-Tyas.
Solve online in Penpa+ (thx henrypijames!)
Apply classic sudoku rules.
Some cells contain a star and a number. The number is the sum of the digits in the cell with the star (N) and the digits in the Nth cells in the four directions of the star. In case there are too few cells before reaching the border, you continue counting on the other side of the grid.
Solution code: Row 8, followed by column 2.

easy start but the puzzle became gradually more difficult in midgame, till the clue in box 7 solved it all. thanks again for the weekly fun.

@marcmees: haha, I don't see that in the bunch of stars. Just diagonal symmetry. Nothing more, nothing less. :-)

I'm very impressed how you brought this variant back to life. The idea for this was my start in the wonderful world of creating puzzles.
I considered the potential of the variant to be very limited after making two puzzles with it and didn't explore it further. But now I feel proven wrong cause I enjoyed very much to discover what you did with it.
Thank you for creating this beautiful puzzle and including the variant in the series!
