Sudoku Variants Series (359) - Sudoku HiLo Odd-Even

(Published on 9. February 2022, 00:00 by Richard)

For this Sudoku Variants Project I have planned to publish a different Sudoku variant every week. I will see how long it takes before I am running out of ideas.

Sudoku HiLo Odd-Even
Apply classic sudoku rules.
In all cases where in an area of 2x2 exactly two odd and two even digits appear, a circle is placed on the intersection of the grid lines of that area. The digits in the circle have to be placed in that area and they represent the highest and the lowest digit of that area. Within a 2x2 area digits may be repeated. An ‘O’ indicates that the highest and lowest digit are both odd, an ‘E’ indicates that both are even.

Inspiration for this type comes from 洪卫华.

Solve online in F-Puzzles or in CtC-app (thanks Steven R!) or in Penpa+ (thx Henrypijames!)

Solution code: Row 6, followed by column 1.
