Another One Bites the Dust (Broken 159)

(Published on 24. January 2022, 17:49 by purpl)

I want to thank riffclown and the entire Broken 159 Puzzle Pack team for putting this together. This puzzle is one of two puzzles I made for the pack, other one linked here, and there are A LOT of puzzles in the pack, so I wanted to release it here as a stand alone as well. If you want to check out the pack it is [4954] on the CtC discord archive, something like 36 puzzles completely free!

Rules:

Normal sudoku rules apply.

Broken-159: Digits in red-shaded cells in column 1 indicate the position of 1 in the corresponding row. The same is true in columns 5 and 9 for 5's and 9's respectively. All possible red cells in columns 1, 5, and 9 are given.

Purple lines (renban) must contain a set of non-repeating consecutive digits in any order.

Great puzzle! Nice use of both constraints and really neat use of the negative constraint as well!

Love the logic path and interactions between the global and local constraints.
