Parity-Linked Fillomino & Slitherlink

(Published on 30. December 2021, 00:00 by SudokuExplorer)

The 10x10 puzzle on the left is a Fillomino.
Partition the grid into areas such that no two areas of the same size are orthogonally adjacent.
Fill each cell of a N-cell area with the number N.

The 10x10 puzzle on the right is a Slitherlink.
Draw a single continuous loop by connecting neighbouring dots along the dotted lines.
A number in a cell indicates how many of its edges are used by the loop.
The loop may not touch or cross itself, and it doesn't need to touch all of the dots.

The two grids have the relationship that corresponding cells contain numbers of the same odd-even parity.

You can try this on Penpa+. Enjoy!

Solution code: For the cells inside the Slitherlink loop in rows 2, 4, 7 and 9, the corresponding Fillomino value (left to right).

Very nice combination! Only at one point I didn't find a logical explanation and therefore used intuition ...
Please, more off this funny stuff :-)

@cdwg2000: Thanks! I'm really pleased you enjoyed this puzzle combination :-)

@Vebby: Thanks for the detailed feedback :-) I'm really pleased you managed to get past the tricky start and found the puzzle smoother afterwards. Btw the slitherlink clues R4C10 and R9C10 are not needed for uniqueness, but after getting it tested I introduced those clues to smoothen the solve.

Cool idea! I really struggled with a couple deductions towards the beginning, but after that it got a lot smoother.
