Neon Skyline

(Published on 6. December 2021, 21:47 by Aaronomys)

Normal sudoku rules apply.

Skyscrapers: If you imagine the digits as skyscrapers with corresponding height, then the clues outside the grid indicate how many skyscrapers one can see from this direction (smaller buildings are obscured by larger ones).

**Additionally, skyscraper clues located above the sudoku grid cannot repeat.

Colored lines in the grid form sequences of digits in any order that increase by x. (On these lines, digit CAN repeat if allowed by other rules.) Lines of the same color must increment by the same x value, and lines of different colors must increment by different x values.

The black bars to the left of the F-Puzzles and CTC App solvers can be ignored. I also recommend turning off "Highlight Conflicts" if you desire to use F-Puzzles.

Solution code: Column 1 + Row 9 (without the skyscraper region). This should form a string of eighteen digits.

Very cool puzzle, indeed just brilliant and a masterpiece of minimalism, as said below -- I'm rather surprised by the overall lukewarm reception :/ Personally I really liked it myself -- Piatato had recommended it to me, and I can absolutely see why. Congrats on setting that miracle puzzle! :D

This puzzle is utterly brilliant and a masterpiece of minimalism sheer elegance! You found a very original idea and your execution is mind-blowing. It is my favourite kind of puzzles I must say, when it seems so obvious that it feels like the puzzle was already there waiting to be discovered...
I hope you'll keep coming up with awesome ideas like this one in the future so I can keep being amazed :-D

Haha, at first it felt impossible, but then I found the funny implications of the ruleset, and then it became smooth and logical and I just had to work through one clue after the other. Enjoyed it a lot!
