Magnets (WS+PC2021 Leftover)

(Published on 25. November 2021, 14:15 by qiuyanzhe)

Sample:

Fill the grid with neutral and magnetic plates.
Each magnetic plate has two poles, represented by "+" and "−" signs.
Poles of the same type cannot share an edge.
The numbers indicate how many poles of the corresponding type appear in the respective row or column.

Solve on Penpa+
To use auto check, please use Shape > Number > Math > Green or Composite > Objects > Magnets.

Solution code: The content of cells on the diagonals. Top-left to bottom-right, then top-right to bottom-left. Use "+" "-" for poles and "X" for empty cells. Sample code would be: +XXXX+X--++X

There was a bug with OR column, if you had selected same option under AND column then it would work. But I fixed and pushed the changes. So should work for both but you need to recreate fresh link. Now it will distinguish + and - :)

Now I see: You've checked the box for

shape - number - math - black,green- Options 2&3

whatever this means. Maybe Swaroop can help?

I'd recommend to uncheck the box and start with the composite mode for magnets (and of course use the same mode before for typing in the solution).

But of course it's acceptable. The whole solution check is an extra. I just wondered, why it popped out, when there was a ++ magnet. Which for sure is wrong.

Seems Penpa+ only checks if every cell is nonempty (in this mode). When I was entering the solution I saw the same issue, and I think this is acceptable (because we must be close to solution when it pops out)

Nice puzzle.

In the solution check (in penpa+) there is a mistake. A + has to be a - .

And you can choose one of the options you mentioned for auto check before creating the 'URL for solving' (in solver mode!!)
Then it starts with these settings.
