Here's a short little beginner sudoku showcasing roping and XV sums. Share it with someone who hasn't tried variants yet but you think would really enjoy them.
Normal Sudoku Rules Apply. Digits in cages must sum to the total indicated in the top left corner. Cells separated by a V must sum to 5. Cells separated by an X must sum to 10. Not all Xs and Vs are shown.

Fantastic puzzle, don't want to spoil anything for anyone, but the vertical organization of this puzzle was phenomenal once I recognized it.
