Candied Hawthorn Sticks (Arrow sudoku)

(Published on 10. August 2021, 08:31 by Aspartagcus)

A tribute to the traditional Northern Chinese snack candied hawthorn sticks (冰糖葫芦 Bīngtánghúlu), which my wife loves.

Someone has opened up your package of candied hawthorn sticks, eaten some of them, and spread them all over the table! You're about to chase after the perpetrator when you (somehow) notice that the sticks create a sudoku with a unique solution against the checkered tablecloth, and you sit down to solve it.

RULES:
- Standard sudoku rules apply.
- Digits on an arrow sum up to the digit in the circle of that arrow. Arrows that overlap end in the same cell.

Enjoy!

I enjoyed the logic of how the bulbs stacked on each other, but I regrettably had to brute force my first digit.

Hi Aspartagcus - just to clarify the rules - arrows that cross each other do not count as overlapping? I assume this must be true from the layout, but maybe it's worth confirming?

----

Yes, only the circles on the same "sticks" end in the same cell, so that's not the ones that cross each other. :)

Stop telling tall tales of your hawthorn troubles, sir! For it has yet to come into season this year! (Can't wait, frankly, hehe.)
