DiagThermoPals (Sudoku)

Normal sudoku rules apply. Digits on the palindrome lines must read the same forwards and backwards. Digits on the thermometers must strictly increase as they move away from their bulbs. Digits in cages must sum to the little number in the upper left (if it exists), and may not repeat within their cages. Digits on each main diagonal may not repeat. Comments welcome!
Solution code: First row of puzzle, and fourth column of puzzle (read top to bottom). Enter as a string of 18 digits, no spaces.

I loved it. Very easy and enjoyable. The cage without a value is there for symmetry reasons I suspect. Thanks

The break-in had decent logic, though fairly easy. The rest was fine, but unremarkable.
The cage without a value doesn't appear to do much. I was able to solve without using it at all.
Edit: Thanks for giving it a go! Yes, the cage without a sum is there for cosmetics only. :-)
