Teleportation Cycle Sum Sudoku (2)

(Published on 13. April 2021, 01:00 by SudokuExplorer)

This is my second sudoku with this ruleset, which was inspired by Teleportation Sums, Y-Sums and Z-Sums. You may also want to try my first teleportation cycle sum sudoku.

Normal sudoku rules apply.
Each row, column and 3x3 box contain the digits 1 to 9.

When you are in a cell containing the digit N, you teleport to the Nth cell in the row/column from the corresponding direction. The teleportation cycle sum is the sum of all distinct digits in the cells visited in the row/column, starting from the first cell.

For example, consider the row of digits 278461359.
From the left, the teleportation cycle sum would be 2+7+3+8+5+6+1=32.
From the right, the teleportation cycle sum would be 9+2+5+6+4+1=27.

Here is a 6x6 example

You can try the 6x6 example puzzle on Penpa+ or F-Puzzles.

I find this one just as difficult as the first one, which means it's actually harder given that I'm already familiar with the logic.

@Dina: I'm pleased you had a fun solve! Thanks for giving it a go :-)

@philb: I'm glad you enjoyed it! I wasn't too sure whether to rate it 3 or 4 stars for difficulty. After solving the first one, it does get easier to work out the logic in this one. :-)

@AsilG: Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed the puzzle :-)
