Logic Masters Deutschland e.V.

Energy in the Core

(Published on 11. January 2021, 11:50 by Aaronomys)

Rules:

1) Normal Sudoku rules apply
2) Disjoint rules apply. A digit in one box can never be found in the same position in another box.
3) In Thermos, digits must increase from the bulb end.
4) In Palindromes, digits along the line must read the same forwards and backwards. For example, "1234" would be invalid while "1221" would be valid.
5) XV rules apply. Two adjecent cells must sum to 10 if they are connected with an "X" Not all XV clues are provided.

This is my first published puzzle on Logic Masters Germany. I understand the instructions are quite lengthy, but I hope its enjoyable nonetheless. Special thanks to Narayana for revisions. I'm so grateful for all of your feedback!

Solve on f-puzzles!

Solution code: Column 2, followed by Row 2. This should result in an 18 digit number that includes each digit from 1 to 9 exactly twice.

Great job on your first puzzle. I didn't find the instructions lengthy, but then again, I go a bit overboard on my rules ;-)

Lots of fixes. Made rules more visually appealing. Fixed the f puzzles link to show updated rules, and changed the difficulty rating.

The f-puzzle link still shows the old rules. You can make the link clickable by following https://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_a.asp.

The best way to improve is firstly to read your puzzle again and make it tested by other people.... that's why most of new authors should stay on CTC discord server. The flood here is really over the maximum !!

** Thanks for the advice. However, my dad doesn't want me on online communication websites like discord and twitter and stuff. :P

I will test my future puzzles more than I already have. Once again, thank you for the advice -Aaron

Made a little edit to the german translation with StefanSch's help. Thank's for the help :)

Used Narayana's suggestions. Thank you for the feedback :)

Funny mistake in the german translation. It must be "In den Thermometern" and not "In der Thermoskanne".
Also "Lampenende" is quite strange. I would suggest: "In den Thermometern müssen die Ziffern vom verdickten Ende aus ansteigen."

@MCabral93 Yes. It's mainly there just to make the intended first step a little easier. I wanted the puzzle to be on the easier side.

@alexwallace I can understand how those are confusing. They are thermometers stemming from the bulb end in the central square in box 5.

The grey square um rule 4 is just the One on r5c5?

Great puzzle. Slightly confused by those grey lines in the centre box? What is their meaning (they aren't palindromes obviously)?
