Thermo sums #8

(Published on 16. November 2020, 10:32 by PetLov)

Normal sudoku rules apply.

The clues outside the grid shows the sum of the digits between 1 and 9 in the row.

Digits next to white dots are consecutive and digits next to black dots must have a ratio of 1:2.

Digits can´t repeat within a cage.

Digits must increase from the bulb end of the thermometers and cannot repeat.

Each thermometer must read the sum of the digits in their respective area or the combined total of the areas they are connecting. An area is defined either as a normal killer cage or as orthogonally connected cells that are not part of a killer cage. All sums are read from the bulb end of the thermometer.

This example shows how the thermometers sum up the different areas.

Excellent puzzle. I had a lot of fun solving this. It's a shame people have been solving but not rating it.

I wonder if there is a way to determine the values outside of the 26 sandwich clue by logic.

Could you please check all hints? The puzzle isn't to hard, but no solutions up to now -> perhaps a mistake?!

*** Everything is in order. Changed the difficulty.

*** All of them. In this puzzle there is two big areas of orthogonally connected cells to account for.
