(Published on 6. September 2020, 07:24 by DocLogic)

Now we have exactly 5,000 puzzles in this great, active portal (number of puzzles see introduction on the portal starting page). That's reason enough to write a puzzle called "FIVE THOUSAND"

2. No letter touches an adjacent letter of the complete alphabet on an edge or corner

3. Exactly one letter of each word FAST, FINE, HAND, HINT is in each column

4. The letter in B2 comes (in the complete alphabet) directly before the letter in B4

5. Only one of the two following statements is true: In one row is DAN without interruption from left to right. The letters H,O,T are in three consecutive columns from left to right

6. Only one of the two following statements is true: The letters S,U,N are all in the same column. The letters T,E,D are in three different columns

7. Only one of the two following statements is true: The F is in column 3. The V is in row A.

No, "only" > 500 active members in last month. And altogether over the years > 2000, so still some way till 5000.

@Narayana and Qodec: thanks a lot for your nice comments. I made hint 2 more precise: instead of "alphabet" it's now "complete alphabet"

Congratulations, and beautiful puzzle, very fitting!

Rule 2 was a bit confusing to me, took me a while to figure out what 'corner' meant in this context. So if it helps here's an attempt at phrasing it differently: cells that are adjacent to each other, orthogonally as well as diagonally, never contain letters that are consecutive in the alphabet. (e.g. D+E cannot occur but F+H can.)
