The King's Knights March onto Mercury

(Published on 1. September 2020, 15:47 by Geelow98)

Rules:
  • Cells separated by a knight's move or king's move (in chess) cannot contain the same digit.
  • Consecutive digits cannot lie in two cells connected orthogonally (i.e. sharing an edge).
  • Digits in themometers must be in numerical order from ball to end.

The standard Sudoku rules apply as well.

Have fun with this one! This one took me a while to come up with and I intentionally made it difficult and technically challenging. Spread the word and get cracking!

I’m surprised to see that some of you didn’t even need the even number square. I tried to make it easy and challenging by not giving you any digits but only a hint at what one of the digits is. If you feel that the square is useless, I’ll keep that in mind while I work on my next puzzle for everyone. What do you want more of? Also, thank you for the positive feedback!

Yep, same - didn't use even square, puzzle solves well without it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe the even number restriction is needed to complete the puzzle. I tried to solve it without the restriction and got a unique solution. I thought it was a fun puzzle, nonetheless

on 1. September 2020, 19:16 by Geelow98
