Orbital Killer

Fill the grid with digits 1 to 9 so that each row, column and marked 3x3 box contains each digit exactly once. There are some Killer Sudoku clues given. They are part of a group of connected cells and give the sum of the digits in this group. Digits may not repeat within these groups and groups for different clues can't overlap. Each group is completely contained in one coloured orbit of the puzzle grid. Otherwise, placement and size of the groups is not known. There may be cells that are not part of any group.

Penpa+ (Without colours, because they will probably be used for the cages.)

Sehr schönes Rätsel. Ich hab nur ewig gebraucht, weil ich mich hartnäckig in der Summe innerhalb eines Ringes verzählt habe, bis ich es endlich bemerkt habe.

This puzzle is Bohr ring. (LOL) It is marvelous.
(Full disclosure) I admit that I did not solve it without a tiny bit of help from Cracking the Cryptic's Simon Anthony... but I did do most of the work myself.

Ich fand es unglaublich schön. Genial, wie die Käfigsummen und die Hinweiszellen gewählt worden sind, so dass man (auch ohne dieses Theorem) völlig logisch deren Begrenzungen finden konnte.

First this is a lovely puzzle (I apologize that I did not comment that earlier, I thought I had done it when I solved ).

I just read your comment on CTC’s video. It is interesting to know the inspiration of the puzzle and how it is part of the whole monthly theme at discord. I must say I thought the cages were satellites orbiting and not stars; so I did not make the connection earlier. Now I am wondering if a couple other puzzles relating to stars and galaxies I saw in the past days are also coming from discord.

It also seems like you are apologizing there for making a puzzle that repeats use of these nice tricks. I say you definitely should not feel bad about it or shy to create more similar puzzles! Or post less here because of the flood.

All the puzzles I have seen from you (either here or on CTC) have been so enjoyable! You Richard and Phistomefel are the reason I discovered LMG, I mean it was CTC mention of your puzzles but it was how amazed I was by them that I decided to come here and dig for more even though I am not German. I feel many many new users that came from CTC feel exactly the same as me.
