The Original Carpet Sudoku

(Published on 9. August 2020, 00:25 by jackisaacbryan)

Normal sudoku rules apply. Each spiral is a carpet that will unroll along the border it is against, laying out it's digits as it does so. See an example below if needed.

A shame CTC couldn't solve this one. Fairly enjoyable unraveling through the final seams of the puzzle.

To be fair though, it is fairly easy to mistake the direction a carpet rolls. At one point I mistook box 6 as rolling upwards, but thankfully realized the mistake immediately afterward.

Wow, nice concept! Took me a while to <wrap> my head around it ... kept wanting to unwind things in the wrong direction.

I might be too stupid for this, but I have really no idea what to do here. And the example doesn't help either...

@Richard - The grey spirals need to have the same numbers on as the row/column they would stretch in to in the same order. For example the very top left cell is the 7th cell on the grey line (counting clockwise), so it is the same as the 7th cell down in column 3. Hope that clarifies things!
