Ignorant Killer Sudoku - Part 2

(Published on 12. May 2020, 23:10 by ProwlingTiger)

I am pretty happy with the logic on this one, though I am unsure how others will like it. If you feel like it, please comment what you liked and what you didn't like; and also I'm curious how difficult you found it to be? Thanks!

This is a follow-up puzzle to the ignorant killer sudoku puzzle I posted previously. Normal sudoku rules apply. In a killer sudoku, the clue inside a cage represents the sum of the digits inside a cage. Digits may not repeat in a cage. The arrows along the outside of the grid represent the sum of the digits along the indicated diagonal; digits may repeat along a diagonal.

In this puzzle, there is a digit N such that: if there is an N in the cage or diagonal in this sudoku, N is not included in the indicated sum. For example, a cage/diagonal with digits [N 5 8] will have a sum of 13, NOT 13+N. (Essentially same rules as the previous puzzle, except N is not necessarily 9). If the digits in a diagonal are [2 3 5 3] and N=3, then the sum will be 7.

Solution code: Digits along the "43" diagonal, from the top-left to the bottom-right. For example: 123123123
