Magic Sandwich Sudoku

(Published on 10. May 2020, 20:22 by Madmahogany)

Normal Sudoku rules apply. In the completed sudoku, there are 5 3x3 Magic Squares (distinct digits, sum of each row, each column and both diagonals is the same).

There are two numbers given for some of the rows and columns. The number closer to the grid is a normal Sandwich clue (sum of the digits between the 1 and 9 in the row/column), and the farther number is the sum of the numbers in the 1-9 sandwich that is not in any magic square (for example, if the sandwich was 146729 in a given row or column, and the 4,7,2 are in magic squares, the clues would be "6 19").

Furthermore, the digit in R1C1 is greater than the digit in R1C2.

A basic knowledge about magic squares is required. Google is your friend!

Solution code: Row 4, followed by Column 6

@Richard I enjoyed your puzzle. I was experimenting with other configurations of magic squares. I think there are many avenues involving magic squares that can be investigated.
