Non-Consecutive Anti-Knight Anti-King Sudoku

(Published on 7. May 2020, 21:46 by trivial171)

Normal Sudoku rules apply. Any two cells separated by a knight's move or a king's move (as in chess) cannot contain the same digit. Any two orthogonally adjacent cells cannot contain consecutive digits.

I hope you enjoy!

This puzzle was inspired by Rishi Puri's fantastic Anti-Knight Non-Consecutive Sudoku series. Please go check it out!

Faszinierend!

Fascinating! I've solved a similar puzzle here in the portal, I think, but it was years ago. I'll go looking for it.
... can't find it, but I found a nice Sudoku with no number requirement: 2MJ (SVS 181 by Richard).

This puzzle was the one of the first ones on CTC that I watched and is my favourite video of theirs to date. It played a big role in getting me into puzzle solving, so it feels appropriate to do this as my 1000th solve on LMD. Thanks Mitchell! :)

Only two digits and a nicely flowing solution path - great!

With no given digits, and no non-consecutive constraint, the combination of anti-knight and no touch constraints gives a unique solution (up to relabelling of digits and symmetries of the square)

I’m astounded that a puzzle with only two givens can have such a smooth solve path!
