Logic Masters Deutschland e.V.

This is a report about a little Chess tournament. On 5 evenings, one game was played with changing game partners. Each of the 5 players played 2 games in total, once with white, once with black. Unfortunately some statements about the tournament are wrong. All 5 hints are either completely correct or completely wrong. Combine the hints first to filter the wrong ones! All statements of the uncorrect hints have to be corrected then (the opposite is correct then) and can be used to solve the puzzle. Who played against whom on which evening? Which piece was captured first in each game?

1.Franz did not play with the white pieces on Monday. Lars did not play with the black pieces in the game, in which a bishop was captured first. A knight was captured first in a game before Thursday.

2. The player who played with the white pieces in the game, in which a bishop was captured first, was the same player who played with the black pieces against Marc. The Queen was not captured first in the game, in which Marc played with the black pieces. On Tuesday Jan played with the black pieces.

3. Hans did not play with the black pieces on Tuesday. On Monday Lars played with the white pieces. The player who played with the white pieces on Tuesday, had the black pieces in the game when a rook was captured first.

4. Franz did not play with the black pieces in the game when the Queen was captured first. Hans played with the black pieces, when a knight was captured first. Lars played with the black pieces on Wednesday. On Monday Marc played with the white pieces.

5. The game in which Hans had the black pieces was played before Thursday. On Monday Lars played with the black pieces. The player with the black pieces on Friday was not the player who had the white pieces in the game in which a pawn was captured first.
