Baseball Sandwich (would that be a hot dog?)

I had originally made this for the start of the Major League Baseball season on March 26. Unfortunately, the season is now delayed for obvious reasons. But, that doesn't mean we can't still have fun with the puzzle.
The starting grid is the standard defensive positions in baseball.
Standard sudoku rules, plus numbers outside the grid indicate the sum 'sandwiched' between the 3 and the 9 in that row or column.
Also, the base paths (shaded cells) sum to 53.
