In the gnome bakery
Just as the busy gnomes wanted to fill the last baking tray, the chief gnome burst into the kitchen. "Has anyone a puzzle idea? Preferable something with Japanese Sums...", he asked excited. Then he looked curiously at the baking tray, with its carefully sorted different kinds of cookies of size 1x2. Some of them had digits (one even / one odd) as icing, the others were completely without icing. Furthermore it was peculiar, that only digits from 1 to 9 were used for the icing. And digits of two orthogonal adjacent cookies had the same parity. "So my visit to the gnome's kitchen was successfull.", he exclaimed delighted und went away again. He didn't understand immediately the meaning of the small digits and areas on the tray. But they reminded him of areas in Killer Sudokus, and the digits fit to these rules ....
