Urban center II (with X,Y,Z)

(Published on 17. June 2018, 12:40 by DarkBeamIta)

jessica6's text, thanks! First remove a (wrong) hint from the grid.

X,Y,Z are three consecutive numbers (in an unknown order). Every occurrence of those numbers has been replaced with the letters.

Then divide the grid into cross-shaped areas, leaving empty spaces (fields without reference).

No empty space is on the edge.

Each cross has a square as a middle section and four arbitrarily long arms.

In addition, each cross has either one or two clues.

If a cross has a hint, it indicates the size of the cross, and no spaces touch the cross.

If a cross has two hints, they are not aligned horizontally or vertically, plus one is the size of the cross, the other is DOUBLE of the number of spaces that touch the cross. Eventual "diagonal contacts" are ignored.

Solution code: Consider each cell in the lines marked with red lines in order. If the area is not blank write the area of the cross that contains the cell, else a B. Write all numbers or Bs without spaces, as they are, followed by the false clue.

Exciting, but or because it's so easy to make mistakes ;-)
Thank you @DarkBeamIta for all your effort!

Rather tricky in the end. I was convinced several times that the puzzle was in error, when in fact it were my attempts at solving it. :-)
