Sudoku Variants Series (225) - Greater than X Sudoku

For this Sudoku Variants Project I have planned to publish a different Sudoku variant every Tuesday. I will see how long it takes before I am running out of ideas.

Greater than X Sudoku
Place the digits from 1 to 9 in every row, column and 3x3-block. In all cases where the difference between two neighbouring digits is X, there is a greater or less sign between those digits. Digits must be placed in accordance with the signs. It is part of the puzzle to find the value of X.

Solve online in F-Puzzles or Penpa+ (thx snowyegret and Nick Smirnov!)
