Rätselmix kryptisch

(Published on 9. July 2015, 00:00 by AI1463)

A little while ago somebody told me that there are puzzle creating machines (PCMs) on earth. ID 0001YP shows that even Santa Claus has first-hand experience with them. Now I got thinking that for this year’s birthday of a very well-known and dear to us person we needed just such a thing, in order to come up with a puzzle worthy of the occasion.

So, now that I obtained such a PCM, it seems to be rather straightforward, one simply answers the questions of the machine. In the following are the exchanged infos on my first try:

    Gridsize(s)? dunno…… NxN, all square.

Grids overlapping (yes, no, all or partly)? erm, if can't be avoided also overlapping.

Special rules (cryptic, knapp daneben, so oder so knapp daneben…)? Cryptic is sufficient, maybe other puzzlers would like to solve it as well.

Clues (total, partly, with place holders, none)? Erm…,whatever, something of everything.

Expected solving time (smaller or bigger 30 min)? O.k., > 30 minutes.

Difficulty (easy, medium, hard)? We had hard last year, so better medium.

    Grid printout requested? Sure, definitely.

Instructions (without, with)? ibag does not need those, so without.

After that the machine whirred and produced the following printout.

Doppelblock(1-4), Jap. Sums(0-5), snakes of black fields (not numbered), grid borders bold, the given clues at the sides are only valid for the directly bordering puzzle

Dear ibag, with this we now wish you a lot of fun solving your birthday puzzle (to all the other puzzlers of course as well). You could report if the puzzle indeed has a solution, as we are not sure we can trust the machine. Stay healthy and exactly how you are. Congratulations and lots of love and all the best wishes on your birthday.

Solution code: The contents of the fields of the diagonal from top right to bottom left (B for black fields, W for empty fields, otherwise the clue or solution digit)
