For this Sudoku Variants Project I have planned to publish a different Sudoku variant every Tuesday. I will see how long it takes before I am running out of ideas.

Sum Sudoku
Apply classic sudoku rules. The grey coloured columns divide each row in three parts: white (4 cells), grey (3 cells) and white again (2 cells). Consider the digits in the three different parts as numbers of 4, 3 and 2 digits. Clues on the left of the grid are the sum of the three numbers. Example: The sum in row 1 could be formed by 3.624 + 795 + 81 = 4.500.

Solution code: Column 7, followed by column 9.
