2358 days of Rätselportal. 2358 days of fun with all sorts of puzzles.
I image if Fibonacci might have realized, what kind of interpretations these numbers would offer. Not only myself, also Eisbär, Adam001, Pin7guin, Hopppe, RobertBe, Chalb, Semax and even puzzlegiants as Uvo, Berni and Richard did contribute in some form of interpretation to a wide variaty of 2358 puzzles.
The number 2358 has obtained a special role in our Rätselportal. Of cause this number must be offered special attention, especially today. I would even say in this puzzle we should place double attention to these special numbers.
Some days ago, my special puzzle friend Chalb asked me, if I could imagine to create a 2358 puzzle for this special anniversary.
Well, this is what I came up with after some hours of effort. Complaints have to be related to CHalb! ;-))
ABCtje and +/-1:
Replace all letters with numbers between 0 and 10. Same letters are replaced with same numbers. Different letters are replaced with different numbers.
The red sums are +/1, that means the given sums are either 1 too high or 1 too low.
Japanese Sums:
In the grid place numbers between 0 and 9. The 0 is allowed to be placed to stand alone by itself. The replacements of the ABCtje have to be used for this puzzle.
The given sums are placed in the correct order.
Numberblocks are seperated by -with respect to this special anniversary- not by blackened but by coloured fields.
Additional rules:
Within the grid, for all placed numbers equal numbers may not touch, not even diagonally!
Now have fun with this aniversary puzzle!
Solution code: Row 4 from left to right. Use S for all coloured fields.

Can anyone fill me in to the significance of 2358 as the four numbers used in such a variety of puzzles? Is there a cool story behind the history there? Or is it so much of a “thing” now that no one really knows where it came from? Just curious… :-)

2358, hurra! Damit bringt mir die Lösung dieses Rätsels die 2358 in den Top 100. Luigi, vielen Dank für die wahrlich originelle Umsetzung. Und wenn wann alle Regeln des Rätsels kennt, ist es wirklich schön zu lösen.
