Wichtel 2014 (10): Waldemar, der Weihnachtselch

(Published on 23. March 2015, 10:42 by wichtel)

To Christmas 2014 some eager puzzlefriends have again arranged a group in which everybody had to make anonymously a puzzle for someone else. These puzzles are now presented one after the other here in the portal.

Christmas Elk Waldemar

Nervously Santa Claus is searching his elk: „Waldemar, Waldemar! Where are you? You promised to help me with the Christmas puzzles!" Mumbling he goes into the house. A piece of paper lies on his desk. That looks like a puzzle. When he comes near it the sheet starts flying in his direction and stays at his iron belt-buckle. "It's magnetic, so it could be a magnets puzzle", he thinks for himself and he strokes over his beard," and all the neutral plates are already given." But then he hesitates: "Why are numbers and question marks outside the diagram? That looks like Japanese sums! So the magnetic plates probably consist of one odd and one even digit. And of course two even or two odd digits may not touch each other orthogonally." He nods with his head. But then he finds grey numbers inside the diagram. "These couldn't belong to the Japanese sums but look like standard hints for fences!" Santa Claus sighs. If only he knew, where the elk is strolling around! Is the inside of the fences loop completely filled by the Japanese sums? "Waldemar! Where are you?" - But he gets no answer. He takes the puzzle and rolls it up. "I can't help it, I have to leave now! If anything is still unclear the recipient has to look for Waldemar himself and ask him." He writes "Merry Christmas for you from your puzzle dwarf!" on it and leaves his house.
