Summer time - time for travelling! A very popular holiday destination for puzzles was so overbooked that a Starbattle puzzle (Instructions) and a Magnets puzzle (Instructions) had to share the same diagram. Both of them initially had a lot of reservations: The Magnets puzzle thought the Starbattle puzzle to be fassy because of it's fear of beeing touched, whereas the Starbattle puzzle accused the Magnets puzzle of black and white thinking. But it turned out that these prejudices were unfounded, and the two puzzles harmonized perfectly: Each plate lies entirely in one of the starbattle areas, and the stars lie only on charged magnetic half-plates; moreover in each row, each column and each area exactly one star lies on a positive and the other one on a negative half-plate. The two puzzles became really good friends and made an appointment for meeting next year again.
The common diagram - initially without plates - looks like this:
Solution code: For each row the number of horizontal plates. Then for each column the number of cells between the two stars.

Und: da freue ich mich schon auf nächstes Jahr August, wenn es wieder ein Doppelstern-Magnetplatten-Rätsel gibt. - Oder vielleicht gehen die beiden ja schon zu Weihnachten miteinander skifahren...?! :-)
