Draw a single closed loop along the grid lines in both grids. The loops don't cross or touch themselves. The numbers in the grid tell how many sides of the cell are used for the loop.
Numbers in grey cells are identical in both grids, numbers in white cells must be different in both grids.

Solution code: The sizes of the areas outside the loops, clockwise, starting top left. First the upper grid, then the lower.
