Der neue Zoodirektor

(Published on 29. February 2012, 23:58 by pin7guin)

New Zoodirector Waldemar Tierreich started with his new job today. He was new in town and did not know the zoo. So he wanted to have a look over the animals and the grounds. The outer borders were recognizable. But where were which animals accommodated? Was the visitors Rundweg still okay? Was there enough space for the increasing amount of visitors?

The office of the former director was quite a chaos. All searching just brought a Übersichtsplan. There were the reserves of the animals recorded. You could read the animals horizontal and vertical and also diagonal - and backwards. The director had a look at the Tierarteninventarliste. Why were some animals written in italics?

He scratched his head. And remembered: Most part of the ape reserves were also in the inner part of the zoo, where the visitors Rundweg was. They wanted to built a new Rundweg.

Tierreich sat on his chair. A notice written by the former director fell down. He read:

The ape does it fine! New visitors Rundweg shall come in the middle of the ground. With AFFEN. That means with A, F and E. Same the same and different different. Should be 1, 2 e.g. 3. First for all real apes. If there are another A, F, E from wrong "AFFEn" this is also valid. But wrong AFFEN are different replaced from real apes. The ape does it fine! Fine - so also I and N have to be replaced. 1, 2 or 3 and independent of the apes.

The new zoodirector groaned. There were still more things important: In the cell in the second row / second column should be no fences of the Rundweg. There will end the lift from the parking lot. And the visitors need as much space as possible in the inside of the Rundweg. And the more fences on the outside of the visitors Rundweg the better.

When he wanted to put the notice away he saw something written on the backside:

Valid for all animal reserves in the inner part but outside of the visitors Rundweg shall be: If you take any two of these reserves and you divide the bigger size by the smaller size, you get a natural number.

First Zoodirektor Waldemar Tierreich could do nothing than shake his head. But then he recognized the special thoughts of his predecessor about the visitors Rundweg.

Here comes the Übersichtsplan:

Here the part for the visitors Rundweg:

Solution code: The not used letters in the Übersichtsplan row by row followed by the size of the areas outside the Rundweg, clockwise starting in the top left.

Februar gereizt. ;-)
