Januar Pentomino-Monat (4): Hochhauspentomino

(Published on 27. January 2012, 12:00 by Richard)

January Pentomino month (4) - Skyscraper Pentomino

Place the 12 pentominos in the grid, so that they don't touch each other, not even diagonally. The pentominos may be rotated and/or mirrored. From every pentomino exactly one cell is already given.

All of the pentominos have a different heigt, that corresponds with their position in the alphabet; F is the lowest, Z the highest pentomino. The clues outside the grid tell how many pentominos can be seen from that side. A pentomino is visible when no higher pentomino is in front of it.

Solution code: Row 11, followed by column 5. For every cell the letter of the pentomino and '-' for an empty cell.

@sandmoppe: that is a good idea. I didn't realize puzzlers would write the pento-letters in the grid, but now that is possible with the grey cells. Thanks for the hint!

New image uploaded; grey cells instead of black ones.
