Pentomino-Rundweg twins

(Published on 5. January 2011, 17:08 by pokerke)

These Pentomino-Rundweg twins together contain all 12 Pentomino pieces from their Pentomino father, but are also a normal Rundweg like their mother. Each pentomino consists of 5 blocks of 4 Rundweg cells. The Pentominoes below show how many of each of the 4 cells in a block are inside the Rundweg.

Solution code: The size of the areas outside of the loops, clockwise, starting in the top left. First for the sister (with the X chromosome), then the brother (with the Y chromosome).

Wow, amazing that you found an arrangement of pentomino tiling that allows the 2 grids to solve with the exact same disposition of the clues !! And the solve is interesting and fun as well ! Enjoying these variations around Rundwege very much. Thanks :)

May the Pentominos be rotated but not mirrored?

@CHalb: They may be mirrored, rotated or even both.

@pokerke: Thank you. I thought so meanwhile myself ;-).

I needed a moment to understand the question - and then was struggling with the pentominoes... ;-) Thank you, Kim!

Translation added, thanks Calavera!

Although the translation is already quite good and understandable here a suggestion with small changes:

Also I'd suggest for future puzzles to make the Pentonimos with black numbers on white background with black borders, simply to save printer ink.

Here is a first try at a German translation with some help from Google translate. Let me know what I should change and I will update the German text:
