Siamese Rundweg Sudoku Twins 6x6

These Siamese Rundweg Sudoku Twins are cojoined vertically, and they cannot be separated because they form one traditional Rundweg together (with the given clues, 18x24 grid). Further, they are both separately 6x6 Sudokus (in the large cells containing 6 Rundweg cells each) with the numbers 1 to 6 in every row, column and 3x2 area.
For the top twin, the sudoku numbers are equal to how many of the 6 rundweg cells are INSIDE the Rundweg.
For the bottom twin, the sudoku numbers are equal to how many of the 6 rundweg cells are OUTSIDE the Rundweg.
Solution code: The size of the areas of outside the Rundweg, clockwise starting in the top left. X for an area of size 10 or more, so you do not need to count all 216 cells outside the Rundweg.

Ein fantastisches Rätsel! - Und als ich heute einen Neuanfang gestartet UND berücksichtigt habe, dass die Sudokus auch 2x3-Felder haben (statt nur Zeilen und Spalten) ;-), ging es prima und logisch durch. Danke, Kim!

Great! This puzzle is for me one of the most marvellous artworks and masterpieces in the portal. Besides the very interesting twin-construction it is enjoyable difficult and solvable without T&E. Especially I like the interaction between local (Rundweg) and global (Sudoku) conclusions. This is (after SilBers Doppelter Rundweg) the second time that a puzzle feels to me like a good novel. It accompanied me for at last three weeks wherever I went and it took me - including one try in vain - several hours to solve.
pokerke, already in last October you mentioned the possibility of a 9x9-version. Of course I'm ready to spent a lot of time in solving it - with or without twin or another nice twist.

Schönes Rätsel. Hat Spaß gemacht.
Ich bewundere immer wieder Rätselautoren, die so schöne Symmetrien in ihren Vorgaben hinbekommen (denn fürs Lösen ist es ja im Grunde egal, ob die beiden Rundwege Zwillinge sind, oder nicht). Hat definitiv seinen ästhetischen Reiz.

A 1 was added on row 2, column 10 of both twins to guarantee a unique solution. However, it does not affect the solution code.
@Le Achim: Thanks for pointing out the error! The bigger version will be for early next year probably. Probably I will try some other variations first.

A few comments from the author:
- Let me know if the German text needs serious improvements to be understandable, I did my best but it's not easy.
- This is quite a big puzzle, and people should probably start with the smaller one first. But if someone promises to solve it I will make a 9x9 version too (27x54 Rundweg!).
- To compensate for the size, here is a little hint: If you try to solve this puzzle as a normal Rundweg by marking its sides, you will need a very long time. It is much faster to mark each cell as either inside or outside the Rundweg. This is one of the main reason why this the puzzle is not drawn on a traditional Rundweg grid.
- Finally, this is a reworked version of the puzzle I send in to the design contest, but it rightly didn't score well there as the reference to the theme 'Invisible' was far fetched to say the least.
