Let's start at the beginning: The hitori grew broader and broader and at some time I got nervous and took it to the puzzledocter. He made an ultrasonic testing. When I saw the resulting picture I was speechless: Fourtynine babies! Here you can see the picture:
Instructions: Inside of every fat bordered cell draw a single continuous loop by connecting neighboring dots along the dotted lines. The numbers indicate how many edges of a cell are used for the loop. The loop may not touch or cross itself, and it doesn't need to touch all of the dots. Note, that the Rundwege are yet unborn and therefore can have several solutions!
The hitori number is the number of cells inside of the Rundweg. Blacken some fat bordered fields in the diagram, that in every row and every column every hitori number appears at maximum once. All numbers have to be connected (that is, the black fields may not depart the puzzle into two or more pieces). No two black fields may be connected horizontally or vertically.
Solution code: The fifth column from top to bottom. 'S' for a blackend cell and the sizes of the areas outside of the Rundweg clockwise, starting at top left.

Danke, aus irgendeinem Grund habe ich anfangs auch die Hitorizahlen für die nicht geschwärzten Felder mit eingeben wollen.

Wonderful, I think Hitori is better with multiple options per cell...
English Solution Code: "fifth row" should be "fifth column".

Ein Martyrium... 49 Rundwegfälle. Zum einen das -noch ganz amüsante - Herausfinden aller möglichen Rundwege, zum anderen war - zumindest für mich - kein logischer Ansatz erkennbar. So war das Lösen dieser grundsätzlich sehr netten Rätselidee mit sehr viel Herumprobiererei verbunden.

Really nice puzzle. I had to start over a few times because I missed some of the possibilities, but I finally made it through.

Wie schnell man selbst bei solchen Mini-Rundwegen eine Lösung übersieht...
Ansonsten, danke für das schöne Rätsel. Auch die zu Grunde liegende Hitori-Variante hat mir sehr gut gefallen.
PS: Lasst Euch nicht von den 4,5h abschrecken. Es geht auch schneller, wenn man keine Fälle übersieht.

Da ich beim Testlösen viereinhalb Stunden gebraucht habe, darf ich jetzt auch eine Lösung abgeben, oder? Ich finde das Rätsel noch immer wunderschön!! Liebe Grüße, Silke

@berni:I do not know how to express my question in English. I hope you will understand: the puzzle is 21 x 21 squares, or 27 x 27? Above the pink lines can pass circuit connecting lines? :-)
